Saraab Episode-11 Review: Asfand is going at any length to protect Hooriya
Saraab, the drama that is presented on HUM TV, addresses a very serious mental health problem. The story revolves around an advanced stage schizophrenic girl who shows Hooriya and her family appearing to be so pathetic that it truly reflects reality. This is the kind of negative support that people facing mental health problems unfortunately receive from their families. Only Asfand is the one who understands Hooriya's mental condition.
The episode begins when Hooriya refuses to meet her mother and locks herself in the room. Her mother is creating so much fuss that she starts cursing Asfand's sister saying that whatever she did with Hooriya, she too will face the same. Asfand tries to calm Hooriya's mother, he tells her that he will go talk to Hooriya.
Hooriya opens the door to the room just for Asfand and she tells him that she wants him to do his Nikkah as soon as possible and then refers that they have done something wrong. Asfand is surprised to hear this from Hooriya, but Asfand is such a precious person that to save Hooriya he goes to the extreme of accepting whatever Hooriya is saying in front of his mother so that his parents will marry her to him and then he can take her to treatment.
Asfand is of the opinion that Hooriya's family is not good for her peace of mind, she wants to marry her as soon as possible as she fears that Hooriya's mental state will get worse if she delays her wedding and lets her stay with her toxic family. Hooriya's mother creates a lot of scandal for Asfa and acceptance, she tells her husband that the only solution is to marry her to him.
Asfa and her parents take Hooriya back home and try to talk to her parents. Well, we hoped that Hooriya's parents knowing that how pathetic and loud they are, will react very badly to them but surprisingly they have not uttered a word, when Asfand's father asks for Hooriya's hand they do not refuse, they say I want some time to think. This is an important advance. Thank goodness there is no scene of Warda in this episode screaming at the top of her lungs. Well, we wonder, will Asfand be able to cure Hooriya's state of mind?
